Swap your Tappy for the Realtap Pass
The old membership NFTs can still be minted by whoever holds their policy keys, so they are a weak proof of anything. The Realtap Pass is Realtap’s own: one pass for each Tappy or Tappy02 that existed on 9 Oct 2026, with the same number, and a supply that is closed for good at a fixed slot. You give up the old NFT and receive the pass in one transaction that your wallet signs.
Burning is permanent
Nobody can burn these NFTs the usual way: only the old policy keys could, and holders do not have them. So “burn” here means sending the NFT to an address that no key and no transaction can ever spend from. Once it is there it is gone: not you, not Realtap and not the people who made it can move it again, and the roughly one ADA the network requires to travel with it stays there too. Anything else that still asks for the old NFT will no longer see it in your wallet. An NFT that is listed for sale has to be delisted first.
Check the burn address yourself
The burn address is not a wallet. It is the address of this small script, which says: “valid only in a transaction whose validity ends at slot 0 or earlier”. A transaction can only be included in a slot before its validity ends, and there is no slot before slot 0. So no transaction can ever satisfy the script, and nothing at its address can ever be spent. An address is derived from its script by hashing, so anyone can confirm that this address belongs to this script and to nothing else.

The address is the byte 71 (script address without a stake part) followed by that hash, in bech32.
What you are trusting
- The burn is enforced by the chain. It does not depend on Realtap in any way; the section above is all there is to check.
- The mint is decided by Realtap’s key. The pass policy is a plain script: Realtap’s mint key must sign, and nothing can be minted after the lock slot. Until then the rules on this page (one pass per old NFT, only NFTs that existed at the snapshot, the same number) are applied by our server before it signs, not by the chain. After the lock slot nobody can mint a pass again, Realtap included.
- Your wallet signs one transaction. It is built by our server from your wallet’s outputs as our own node sees them. It pays only the burn address and the address the NFT is at now; this page checks that before your wallet is asked, and your wallet shows it again.
- No contract holds your assets. There is no escrow, no deposit and no second step: either the whole transaction happens, or nothing does.
The pass policy will be shown here once the swap is set up.
