Sight Effects

-Genesis- is an attempt to illustrate a satire about the destin y of humanity. Following the rise of civilization and arriving t o contemporary capitalist modes of production and consumption is a kind of apocalyptic moment in humankind. At the same time, I intended the animation to be a commentary on the increment in re cent years of the over-diagnosis of mental health conditions, an d the widespread use of prescription drugs, especially the kind of psychotropics given to people diagnosed with ADHD, which I be lieve is not a negative mental condition at all. There are "sigh t effects" from looking at the world from the lenses we were con ditioned to have by this society, and whether good or bad we can not escape the spectacle (100% handmade stop motion animation)
